This is a piece we did to pitch the Richmond Renegades on doing some trading cards of their own. Unfortunately they could not justify it, as their fan support was not there. Some years later when showing this piece, a friend of mine recognized this player as a friend of his. He wanted to buy the piece, but I have a hard time parting with my sports pictures.
I dig it, man. Nice action pose. I'd love to see any scans you might have of your process and how you get to this point. Kind of sucks about the trading cards not working out. Did you ever talk to the Kickers?
ReplyDeleteYeah that would be nice to see some scans. This was kind of back in the days when having a scanner required the kind of bucks that we did not have. Never did talk to the Kickers, though. We just never got around to that before our business dissolved.
